Wax Worms

Wax worms are widely used as a food source for birds (wild and caged), amphibians, reptiles, sugar gliders and hedgehogs. With a soft body and small head wax worms are one of the best foods as a diet compliment and for recuperating sick or malnourished animals. Large quantities can be difficult for baby animals to digest so feed sparingly. Wax worms are the best for beefing up any pet that will ingest them. We recommend treating your pet to a few wax worms several times a week to keep them healthy and happy. Shop for Wax Worms

Zophobas Worms

Zophobas worms are similar to the mealworms with the exception of being much larger. Also these worms can be stored at room temperature. They will be much more active than other worms but have the same physical appearance as standard mealworms with the exception of their size. Zophobas worms are notorious for chewing so it would be wise to store them in a thick plastic container. Shop for Zophobas Worms

Red Worms

Red worms are the perfect, soft-bodied food for turtles and many different kinds of amphibians. They also contain a high percentage of moisture compared to feeder insects. This trait is welcome when feeding land dwelling reptiles because of the extra water source provided. They can be stored at room temperature and are easy to keep. The physical makeup of red worms is similar to that of nightcrawlers except for the size. The average size of a red worm is 2-3 inches, this makes them about half the size of a nightcrawler. Red worms are also excellent fish bait. They are commonly used throughout the sport fishing industry and are popular bait for smaller game fish such as crappie, bluegill, and perch. Nightcrawlers

Nightcrawlers are extra large soft-bodied worms that require refrigeration. Nightcrawlers are widely known throughout the pet trade as fish and turtle food, but frogs and toads also enjoy them. Besides the nutritional value, Night crawlers provide your pet with loads of moisture and help nourish sick, dehydrated pets. Shop for Nightcrawlers
